While Automattic has recently integrated Quantcast tracking into their WordPress Stats suite (see more: here and here), the website operator has installed Frank Goossens’ ‘DoNotTrack‘ plugin to prevent Quantcast from receiving information from the website’s visitors.
When using the contact form, you may include your email address in contacting the website operator. The operator will not share this information to third-parties, and will vigorously resist any attempts by law enforcement to access this information. Email sent through the contact form will end up at a Google-hosted email address; Google’s own data access provisions might be used to sidestep the website operator’s own resistances.
In addition to WordPress Stats (which is primarily used to improve the website structure and determine what content readers are most interested in), your email address is potentially collected when you leave a comment (dependent on whether you provide a ‘real’ address) and when you use the contact form. The website operator will not make your email available to any third-party, nor will they provide IP address information unless compelled by law enforcement. The servers hosting this website are in California, and thus data contained on them are potentially subject to American law enforcement demands in addition to demands issued by Canadian law enforcement.
